Steel facades & sheet-metal cladding, made in Christchurch

ARC designs and fabricates bespoke steel facades and sheet-metal cladding for commercial and architectural buildings: laser-cut and perforated steel facade panels, corten weathering-steel cladding, ventilated rainscreens and facade screens. Every facade is cut, folded and finished to your architect’s design and engineered by Bromley Steel, so a building’s public face is as considered as its interior. We provide CAD and shop drawings to spec, with a PS3 construction review where required.

From a retail frontage or hospitality facade to an office rainscreen or a feature facade and cladding to a section, we make and deliver steel facades across Christchurch and Canterbury, Queenstown, Wānaka, Central Otago and the South Island. See our wider commercial steel and laser-cut screens.

What are steel facades?

Steel facades are exterior cladding panels and screens made from steel that form a building's outer skin. They can be laser-cut, perforated or solid, in corten weathering steel, blackened or powder-coated steel, giving a building shade, weather protection and a distinctive architectural identity.

What is the difference between a laser-cut and a perforated facade?

A laser-cut facade uses a custom cut pattern — a bespoke design, motif or graphic — while a perforated facade uses a repeating pattern of holes. Both filter light, provide shade and ventilation, and are made to your architect's design.

Can you make corten (weathering steel) facades and cladding?

Yes. Corten weathering-steel facades and cladding develop a warm rust patina and need no coating, a durable, low-maintenance choice for commercial buildings across the South Island.

What is a ventilated facade or rainscreen?

A ventilated facade or rainscreen is a steel panel system fixed off the building with an air gap behind, improving weather performance while giving a crisp architectural finish.

Do you design and engineer facades, with PS3?

Yes. We work to your architect's design, provide CAD and shop drawings, and the facade is engineered and, where required, comes with a PS3 construction review from Bromley Steel.

Where do you make and install steel facades?

We design and make steel facades in Christchurch and take on projects across Canterbury, Queenstown, Wānaka, Central Otago and the wider South Island.
