The terms that apply when you commission a piece from ARC Design Studio, the design studio of Bromley Steel.

ARC Design Studio is the design-led studio of Bromley Steel Ltd, based in Christchurch, New Zealand. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “ARC” mean ARC Design Studio / Bromley Steel Ltd.
Prices shown on this website are indicative “from” prices, include GST, and vary with size, fittings and your chosen finish. They are not a firm offer. A firm price is provided in a written quote for your specific project. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
An order is confirmed once you accept a written quote and pay the required deposit. Work on custom pieces begins on receipt of that deposit. The balance is payable before delivery or collection unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
Most work is made to order to your specification. Where we provide drawings or specifications, it is your responsibility to check and approve them before we begin. We are not liable for a piece made correctly to an approved drawing that does not suit once made.
Indicative lead times are given at the time of quoting and are typically several weeks depending on the piece and our workload. Lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and may be affected by materials, finishing and freight.
Delivery, freight and installation are quoted per project because of the weight and size of steel pieces. See our Shipping & Delivery page for detail. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.
We warrant our workmanship and materials against genuine manufacturing faults. The natural weathering and patina of corten and raw steel is an intended feature and is not a fault. See our Returns & Refunds page for how faults are handled and your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to repairing, replacing or refunding the piece supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or Fair Trading Act.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
